    Traffic routing and data protection are managed through technological systems by Cloudflare.

    Service availability and uninterrupted operation are top priorities. Our servers are continuously maintained and monitored from our control center 24/7.
    Databases, web and mail servers, load balancing systems, and data security systems are monitored and managed to minimal downtime, with an annual availability rate of 99.8%.

Security & data sharing

  • Meckano provides a flexible framework with a secure layer that allows you to share different datasets with different users. Administrators can easily create profiles, roles, and hierarchical structures directly within the user interface.

Full control over your tools

To determine which tools a user can access, you can adjust their permission levels. Some management tools allows you to receive employee report files at your preferred frequency—daily, weekly, or monthly. These files contain comprehensive employee data as well as your personal profile information.
To ensure you can use Meckano without any concerns, it’s important to know the security measures we implement to fully protect your privacy. First, the website is secured with SSL protocol, the highest standard used by leading websites worldwide. In addition, all data is automatically encrypted on our company servers.

Control who sees what

  • By managing permissions and information sharing, you can ensure a high level of control over every interface in the system.

Secure biometric use

  • Meckano offers biometric time clocks featuring SilkID technology and biometric recognition sensors. The time clocks does not store employees’ fingerprints.

    With both types of devices, fingerprint data is processed and stored only on the clock itself (in its internal memory) and is never transferred to the system’s servers. The identification relies on measuring the distances between several points on the finger.

    This technology is relevant solely to the usage of biometric time clocks.

    If data is extracted from a device, it cannot be used elsewhere for the following reasons:

  • The employee is identified by a number, with no other identifying details stored on the clock.

  • The distances between fingerprint points are used only by the clock itself.

  • The distances data is encrypted.

  • For example: Employee 510, distance between point X and Y = 19 mm.

Maximizing your Meckano account security

The Meckano system enables you to maintain a high level of security through two simple actions on your end:

1. Enforce all users to update their passwords every X days (you choose the interval).

2. Two-step verification for administrators – Activating this feature adds an extra layer of verification when logging in, requiring both the password and a one-time code sent to the administrator’s registered phone.

Together, these actions help you maximize your account security.
