Help Center: Hour Cap for Tasks and Projects

The Task Management module is a significant tool for achieving your business goals. Discover how Meckano helps you manage tasks and employee attendance more efficiently.

Every business owner knows that to evaluate progress and see real results, you need to track data consistently.
The Meckano attendance system allows you to collect and monitor employee work hour data by project and task that are fully customized to your business’ needs. Even if your employees work remotely and report attendance through the mobile app, all the data is automatically synced online to the Meckano system, and managers can view it in real-time.

Allocate hours for tasks & projects

As part of our Task Management module, you can assign an hour cap for each task or project.
When creating a new task, you’ll see an additional field – Hours cap – where you can define the maximum number of hours allocated for completing that task.

To create a new task: From the top menu, go to Tasks >> Manage Tasks >> Add Task.

Task Summary Report

When an employee logs the task they are working on and the hours spent, the system automatically aggregates all reported time and provides a cumulative total from the first day the task began.

In the Task Summary Report, each task displays its allocated hours and remaining hours. If the reported time exceeds the allocated limit, the extra hours are highlighted in red.

To view the task summary report: select Tasks >> Task Summary.

Meckano lets you export detailed task summary reports by employee, project, department, or team, and perform task analysis.
These insights help you identify who’s performing efficiently, who may need extra support or training, and which tasks might require more time or resources.

If your business works with task teams, you can easily assign tasks and manage permissions – giving team leaders access to their team data, while system administrators receive the consolidated data.
