Meckano attributes considerable importance to protecting our customers’ personal data.
With customers in numerous countries around the world, we stringently comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The GDPR extends the rights of privacy granted to European individuals and requires certain companies that process the personal data of citizens of the European Union to comply with the regulation for the protection of users’ privacy.
The GDPR applies to companies that process the personal data of companies and individuals in the European Union.
What is the GDPR?
In 2016, the European Union approved a privacy regulation called the GDPR.
This regulation applies to all companies whose computer systems collect and process data of persons in the European Union.
The GDPR was designed to strengthen the protection and security of personal data, as well as to provide a working framework on how to use, share, and process the accumulated data.
According to the GDPR, the term “personal data” is very broad and covers almost all information pertaining to a specific person.
How do we keep your data secure?
Backup of security data
An end-to-end backup of the accumulated data that includes a log of logins to the system and a log of the users’ activity.
The backup is conducted at several farms in Israel and around the world in an encrypted and secure manner. The data is kept for several years.
Protection against unauthorized access
Meckano implements a strict password policy with a stringent standard (a minimum of seven (7) characters containing letters and numbers combined with symbols).
The password is valid for a period of time chosen by the customer (3 to 6 months,
automatic disconnect when inactivity is identified and when accessing from another terminal).
Use of a Two-Step Verification process conducted with an SMS or an access code by email.
Restricted access via authorized IP addresses and enforcement of reporting with use at a location with an approved radius on a map.
Login using a Microsoft or Google account
Identification of the user who is connected to the system or a corporate email and easy and convenient login that avoids the difficulty of keeping several passwords.
User management by one entity that maintains the accounts and the possibility of providing or preventing access from the system users command center.
SSL data encryption
Has a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a security protocol that creates an encrypted link between an Internet server and an Internet browser.
Fields with sensitive data in the database are defined as encrypted fields with the help of encryption keys
while using the SSL encryption protocol that creates a secure communication channel on the web and prevents third parties from penetrating it.
Data protection
Data protection mechanisms against unauthorized access and creating a broad security cloak.
The mechanisms include the use of the Cloudflare firewall software system,
anti-virus software, and the use of Cluster data protection technology between the server and the customer.
